The main objective for Club Atlético de Madrid, with the development of these projects is to grow in the sponsorship, economic, social and sports areas. Certainly, from the standpoint of sponsorship and economic area, the club will be strengthened considerably in the future, it will go from having a stadium that is more than forty years old, with a location that limits our capacity for future growth and with a surface of more than 30.000m2 to a modern stadium, equipped with the best infrastructure and services, with an area of 88.150 m2, which will undoubtedly represents a steady pace of consolidation, which will make the club more competitive in all areas.
Furthermore, the new stadium is being created to provide better service and meet the demands of the thousands of fans already related to the club. We need to grow, have a modern and edgy Stadium, more than what we have today, with a capacity of around 70.000. A Stadium equipped with the best infrastructure and technological development, with better access, good transport links, a large number of parking spaces, commercial areas, areas for the disabled, with lounges, private boxes and spaces dedicated to fans with modern and spacious dining areas and marketing. In short, a stadium designed by and for the fans, because we have a professional obligation to work for the comfort and welfare of all.
The Club wants to offer fans a multi-functional Stadium to enjoy every day of the week. The Stadium will provide a for concerts, institutional events, business and advertising as well as large international sporting events: the final of the Champions League and Europa League, World Cup, European Championships, Olympic Games, where Atletico Madrid’s stadium will be a benchmark worldwide.
